Sexy & Romantic Bedroom Decorating Tips

Many people don’t seem to realize that there are several colors which are quite sexy. Meaning these colors create feelings and moods of senuality and intimacy, and these can be quite sexy to use in your bedroom decorating themes and designs. Before getting started of course though, it’s helpful to know which colors are considered the sexiest…

Romance & Passion With Red
The color red is an obvious, and universally accepted sexy color. Red symbolizes passion, romance, and increased sexuality. Red is very bold though, so be careful not to dominate the room with red completely. Painting the walls completely red for instance, can actually create the opposite effect than you’re going for. Using certain shades of red on the walls may create depression and overly agressive behavior. Using red as your primary room color is fine, but do it through the use of accents and accessories such as brilliant red silk sheets, instead of painting the entire wall that color.

Passionate Purple
This is another color that is considered romantic and passionate. Purple is a cool color that appeals to the senses of both men and women. Purple is also thought to be a color which is creative and imaginative. Purple is best when used as an accent color as well, because too much purple can be overwhelming. Easy home decor and accents you can use in your bedroom to put splashes of sexy purple include satin bed sheets, pillows, flowers or candles.

Beautiful Blue
Blue has been long known as an alternate romantic color. It symbolizes calmness, trust and reliability. These are the basis for any romantic relationship. Blue is also another one of these romantic colors that need to be used in moderation.

Now that you’ve come to an understanding of what some of the romantic colors are, next is to purchase the linens and proper bedroom decorations to go along with these colors. For linens, the sexiest fabrics to buy are either silk or satin. Solid color sheet sets usually make an excellent base for your new decorating theme too.

Don’t forget to add other sexy decorating accents to the bedroom too though. Things like candles, flowers, decorative glassware or cut crystal lamps, night lights that let you set the lights down low, and so on. And if you’re in the habit of hanging family photos in your bedroom, remove them as part of your redecorating project. Nothing kills a sexy mood like feeling as if you have Mom, Dad, or the Kids watching you getting intimate with a lover.
