Modern décor will be complimented with solid color rugs or for a more dramatic look you can buy a rug with various geometric patterns. Traditional décor will look best with patterned rugs like oriental rugs, just make sure that the patterns are not so busy that they clash with heavily patterned fabric on your sofa.
