Angel Potpourri

If you love making potpourri in the room to add some beautiful fragrance, then you can do this angel medley. It is very simple and requires only the following materials:

Pineapple, Potpourri (with flowers in color), glue, glitter, tape, silk petals (wings), and a permanent black marker.

* Draw a face on the bead with a black marker.

* Place the bead to the top of the pinecone and secure them with glue.

* Glue the top of the ball, sprinkle it with gold glitter and pieces of potpourri of angel hair.

* Place the potpourri flowers between the layers of pineapple, fill in all rooms.

* Make the two arms of angel seed pods potpourri. Add gold glitter on the ends to create the hands.

* Glue the petals on the back like the wings of an angel. If desired, decorate with glitter, or leave it plain.

You double checked that you have done everything in your list when it comes to your interior decoration. However, still, you have an awkward feeling that something is missing. If you’re looking to add an antique or quirky personality to your home, the best place to find something cool is the flea market!  Flea markets are a place where odds and ends come together and where you can find crazy things for really cheap prices.  Not only that, but it’s one of the greatest places to haggle for cheap prices!  Price not low enough for you? Argue away!

There are a lot of great flea markets all around the country, some more famous than others, so it’s also a nice excuse to travel around and see different sites.  Different areas have different things at their flea markets, so you will never know what you might find.

I’m a night owl, and I love the night time.  But lately I’ve realized how significant the difference is between sunlight and light bulb lighting.  Natural lighting is so soft and white, whereas light bulbs give off a harsh, yellow light.

But that may soon change in the next few years, as companies try to develop a new technology in which walls glow and give off light that resembles sunlight.  This technology would be economical in so many ways–it uses low voltage so it would save money on electricity, and it would save the hassle of having to buy light bulbs every time they burnt out.  In fact, this may even cause light bulb factories to go out of business!

This technology is estimated to be available in 2010, so keep your eye out for it!

I’ve always tried to be a more inconspicuous type of tourist.  I wouldn’t take pictures of every little thing hundreds of times, I would do some research of the places I wanted to see so I wouldn’t have to ask too many questions, and I tried my best to not ask for directions if I got lost.  One thing I always did, though, was buy a lot of useless souvenirs that would junk pile up in a closet somewhere.  Little things such as keychains, postcards, tiny figurines, etc.  And every time I saw the pile of things that have collected over the years because of my travels, I would feel a pang of regret for wasting my money on junk.

If you’ve also had this problem, I would love to share with you a great solution that can both rectify useless money spending and help decorate the home!  And it’s as simple as buying a piece of home decoration on your travels instead of a silly monumental figurine (although I suppose those can also be used as decorations for the fireplace mantel…)

Every country and place has it’s own personality, style, culture, and traditions.  And many of those things contribute to products being sold in the area you may be visiting.  I would advise research before hand so you can get an idea of what to look for during your travels.  That way, you get a new addition to your home, a souvenir, and no money is wasted at all!

Whether you travel a lot or not, there is always something that can match your home decor from overseas, and it’s always great to have a foreign accent accompanying your interiors.
